About

During his life, L.A. Mott, Jr was mainly known as a diligent student and teacher of the Bible, avocations which consumed him for almost 60 years. During that time, he helped countless disciples better to understand and appreciate the treasures of the Word. (Read comments of some whom his materials have helped.)
In 2002, his son Rick (aka Richard) established a micro-publishing company to help spread the word about valuable, but little-known, study tools. The company was called Sunesis (SOON-eh-sis) Publishing Company (Sunesis means "understanding" in Greek; cf. Col. 2:1-3). They began with Thinking Through Second Corinthians (TT2C), an expanded version of his study guide, with many more notes to accompany the study questions.

They published six more books together in the Thinking Through the Bible Series. Two more, on the Old Testament books of Job and Jeremiah, were published by DeWard Publishing Company. At L. A.'s death in August 2016, he had two additional manuscripts completed: Thinking Through Galatians was published in November 2018, and Thinking Through First Peter is still to come.
